The Maeda Family First seen in chapter 3.5, Ryo's family consists of her mother, father, younger brother, and younger sister. Ryo's parents own a convenience store (Maeda-ya) behind their house. Ryo's grandparents owned it before her father took over. Below is some short bios for them all so you can get to know them a bit better! Name: Kiyoko Maeda Age: 50 Height: 5'2" Ryo's mother Kiyoko helps out in the shop during the day after the kids have gone off to school. She still finds time to do laundry, cook, and clean. She's never had to be very strict with the kids since they're generally very well behaved since they often help her around the house.   Name: Akiyuki Maeda Age: 53 Height: 5'5" Akiyuki took over for his parents at the store when they retired, and it's been thriving in their little section of town ever since. He's very good-natured. While he works long hours, he still makes time for his family when he can.   Name: Natsuki Maeda Age: 18 Height: 5'9" Ryo's younger brother Natsuki is in his final year of high school. He loves to play basketball and hang out with his friends, even though he SHOULD be studying for his college entrance exams. He's not too worried about them, however, since he's already expressed interest in working at Maeda-ya full time with his dad. He likes to poke fun at Ryo, but he means no harm.   Name: Haruna Maeda Age: 8 Height: 4'1" (she's still growing!) Haruna is the youngest in the family--but even the huge age gap between her and Ryo doesn't keep Haruna from spending a lot of time with her. Haruna, like her big sis, loves to read--but she likes it even better when Ryo reads to her, since she will act out all the characters. She knows her sister has been a bit down lately, but hasn't asked why, since she figures it's 'big people stuff.' She cheers Ryo up in ways only a sister can.
